The Desert Island Blog Award

Welcome to the home of the Desert Island Blog Award!
Recipients, link up your award ceremony posts (where you pass the award along) in the linky at the bottom of the page, please. You can see the inaugural award ceremony here.

You are alone, stranded on a desert island... with everything you need to survive, such as a fully-stocked pantry, whatever crafting/hobby supplies or other products you want, and an unlimited supply of your favorite beverage. Life is comfortable...

Except that, in the freak cargo-drop accident (because how else would you end up stranded on a desert island, unhurt but alone with all you need to survive?), your laptop was damaged, limiting your internet access to only five blog subscriptions.

Which five blogs do you follow?

The scenario is absurd, yes, but the question stands: Which five blogs would you choose?

That's the question behind the Desert Island Blog Award.

The Code of the Desert Island Blog Award
(which is really more like guidelines anyway)
  • Once you have received the award (congratulations!), wear the Desert Island Blog button (by copying the HTML code above) proudly. The button links back to this page so everyone can learn about the award and see the other recipients (in the linky below).
  • Select five blogs to become Desert Island Blogs, while thinking of a nice acceptance speech.
  • In an awards ceremony post (like this inaugural one), deliver your acceptance speech (if you want) and officially pass the award along to your chosen 5 blogs. Be sure to stop by each of the blogs you award and let them know!
  • Come back here and link to your award ceremony post in the linky below. This allows everyone to see one comprehensive list of the blogs that are desert-island approved.
A quick note: During the inaugural award selection process, the judges (er... I) selected from the blogs that I already subscribe to. Most of these blogs are craft blogs, so most of the blogs I chose for the inaugural award are craft blogs. The award can be passed to any kind of blog -- it takes all kinds to make a bloggy world!

Link up your awards ceremony post below, using your blog name as the title.
Just one link to your post where you pass the award along... no need to link each of the five blogs you award because they'll come here and link up once they pass the award along.
